Professor Kristján Kristjánsson has recently co-authored the article ‘Phronesis (Practical Wisdom) as a Type of Contextual Integrative Thinking’ alongside Professor Blaine Fowers and former Jubilee Centre Research Fellows Dr. Catherine Darnell and Dr. David Pollard. Published in the Review of General Psychology, the article addresses recent literature on wise thinking, particularly the new ‘common model’ of wisdom, in an attempt to demonstrate the particular value of phronesis’ explanation for how wise decision-making is motivated and guided by moral aspirations and emotions.
