The Jubilee Centre for Character and Virtues has developed a series of resources for teachers and other education stakeholders to use in schools and other educational settings. These resources range from bespoke programmes for both Primary and Secondary age pupils, to full Programmes of Study, which can be used to teach character as a discrete subject, both at Primary and Secondary level. The resources are produced in collaboration with classroom teachers and other education stakeholders, with many of the materials having been used successfully in classrooms already.
All materials are freely available. Use the below links to access the resources
Below are the key and recent resources relevant to schools and teachers.
The ‘Character Teaching Inventory‘ builds on over a decade of academic work into how schools can best support pupils to flourish and thrive. The inventory outlines approaches for teachers and schools supported by many of the teacher resources.
A publication is to help schools and teachers to learn about and understand the link between character education and school improvement.
The ‘Character Education Evaluation Handbook for Schools‘ provides a practical introduction to the evaluation of character education in primary and secondary schools
These materials were developed by teachers, for teachers, and trialled in schools. They are presented in this section as suites of resources for each subject.
The recruitment, induction and retention of staff is an essential part of any school. Here you can find four short films focussing on the four key areas of recruitment.
Below you will find a list of all resource pages suitable for schools, teachers, and those in educational settings. Resources are sorted in alphabetical order.
