Character education has been included in the Slovakian National Curriculum (2023) for 6 to 15 year olds and the definition of character has been informed by the Jubilee Centres framework for character education. The translated definition is: "An expression of good character is happy and flourishing life. All of the virtues are guided by practical wisdom and are directed towards prosocial practice. Phronesis and prosocial orientation of character permeate all dimensions and virtues and form an axial system of moral character.”
This comes after a wave of global recognition for the third edition of The Jubilee Centre Framework for Character Education in Schools which includes a QS award that was presented to the Centre at the end of last year.
