On 3rd March 2023, over 170 school leaders and teachers, from across the UK, attended the Outstanding Schools conference held at the University of Birmingham. 

The conference focused on how character education can contribute to school improvement and meet the longer-term needs of pupils.  The Centre was delighted to welcome former Secretary of State for Education Rt Hon. Baroness Nicky Morgan who chaired the Transformational Character Education Panel Discussion which brought together headteachers who lead Ofsted outstanding schools.

Speakers also included Dr. Polly Haste (Joint HMI lead for PSHE, RSHE and Citizenship) and Preet Gill MP (Member of Parliament for Birmingham Edgbaston).
