As part of the recently launched project on the role of character and virtues in policing, the Centre hosted a police ethics webinar, ‘The Complexities of Police Ethics in the 21st Century: Is There a Role for Moral Character?’, on the 20th January 2021 with experts in the fields of policing, policing ethics and police education in the UK. The authors presented position papers on the role of character and virtues in current police education and practice, the changing nature of policing in the 21st century, and the value and purpose of ethical dilemmas.
