Dr. Tom Harrison recently delivered a keynote address at the 'Family-Responsive Policies in the Digital Era' conference in Poland. The conference, held online and in person on 17th May 2021, explored if and how the state should regulate private use of digital technologies. In his presentation, entitled ‘Sticks, Carrots and/or Character’, Tom explained the possibilities and limitations of regulation in the digital age and advocated for polices that helped individuals develop character and cyber-wisdom. The presentation was discussed by a panel, including the former Deputy Prime Minister of Poland and other Polish and International academics and policy leaders.
