The Centre is pleased to announce the headline speakers for its 11th annual conference, ‘Character and Virtues in Professional Practice’, due to take place at Oriel College, Oxford from 5th-7th January 2023. Professor Barry Schwartz (Dorwin Cartwright Professor of Social Theory and Social Action, Swarthmore College), Professor David Walker (Associate Professor of Character Education, University of Alabama), and Dr. Sabena Y. Jameel (Associate Clinical Professor at Birmingham Medical School) will deliver the keynote presentations. Director of Strategic Initiatives Aidan Thompson will also host a panel discussion on professional ethics with a number of esteemed guests from professional bodies, including Paul Quinton (College of Policing), Tina Russell (Chartered Institute for Professional Development), and Gemma Williams (Engineering Council).
