Eton College Head Praises Jubilee Centre in New Book 4th September 2015 Centre News Character Education

Tony Little, Head Master of Eton College since 2002, has published a new book titled An Intelligent Person’s Guide to Education. In this book he draws on a lifetime’s experience in schools and explores the questions central to the education of young people today.  Speaking about the Jubilee Centre he says:

The recently established Jubilee Centre for Character and Virtues, part of the school of education at the University of Birmingham, is a new and serious attempt to create shape around an area that can seem formless or, at least, difficult to pin down….While there are character programmes aplenty around the wold, the Jubilee Centre is unique in the UK in its focus and approach.  Its significance is that it is a research-based organization conducting projects in a wide range of state, faith and independent schools seeking to find a benchmark, a kind of modern common denominator…
